Print is usually produced in CMYK or spot colors, while most screens display RGB. RGB colors can appear brighter on screen than what is achievable in print.
Starting in CMYK can help avoid surprises, but strong color management and realistic expectations are still important.
- Screens glow, paper does not
- Some bright RGB colors fall outside normal print range
- Brand-critical jobs may need Pantone or a hard proof strategy
